Independent asset manager located in Hamburg is seeking an Investment Analyst / Associate (PPA Structuring) with a focus on sourcing, structuring and negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to join the team.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities

As Investment Analyst / Associate (PPA Structuring) you will be involved in evaluation of new investment opportunities, manage the due diligence processes during deal execution and take a leading role in PPA sourcing, structuring and negotiation. You will also work closely with various external advisors and business partners. In detail your responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing, screening and evaluating new investment and especially PPA opportunities
  • Structure, negotiate and close PPA contracts, and coordinate all related internal and external processes
  • Manage RfP processes from corporate offtakers and manage related processes including pricing
  • Provide in-house knowhow transfer on PPA basics, structures and market developments and improve targeted offtake strategy in commercial, legal and technical aspects
  • Managing interactions with advisors, bankers, lawyers, project developers and financial advisors
  • Portfolio monitoring including managing PPA contract portfolio for operating projects
Qualifications

Key requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of PPA markets, structures, and processes, ideally in renewable energies
  • Degree in Business, Finance or Engineering with a strong academic background
  • Strong quantitative capabilities and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Intercultural competence and team-oriented working attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, ideally also in German and other languages
  • Strong negotiation skills and proactive approach
  • Professional experience in energy procurement is beneficial
  • Experience in renewables is beneficial
