Your responsibilities
We are looking for a curious and hands-on working student with an IT background to support our team in integrating AI into day-to-day work at Luxcara.
You will work across teams to identify, build, and evaluate practical AI use cases, and support colleagues in using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini safely and effectively. This role is ideal for someone who has gone beyond basic prompting—building agents, developing small tools, creating custom skills, and delivering real AI projects—and who understands both the opportunities and the limitations of current AI systems. You will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to both quick wins and longer-term AI initiatives.
As Working Student – Applied AI & Process Automation (m/f/x) , your tasks will focus on the following areas:
- Support the internal AI team in assessing the feasibility and business value of AI use cases across departments (e.g. Fund Management, Accounting, Investor Relations, Legal)
- Contribute to the prototyping and implementation of AI solutions, including prompt workflows, custom skills, agents, and small internal tools
- Evaluate AI outputs and workflows in terms of quality, reliability, and risk, and iterate based on user feedback
- Enable colleagues to use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini/NotebookLM) effectively and responsibly through hands-on support, documentation, and training contributions
- Contribute to internal AI guidelines, particularly regarding data protection, confidentiality, and responsible use
Your profile
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, AI, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with leading AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini/NotebookLM), ideally beyond basic prompting (e.g. building agents, custom skills, or AI-driven projects)
- Solid understanding of the technical foundations of modern AI tools, including APIs (requests, responses, authentication, rate limits), and ability to read basic code and follow technical documentation
- Good understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and risks of current AI systems (e.g. hallucinations, data protection, prompt injection), and ability to explain them to non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in renewable energy and infrastructure as future-oriented asset classes, and motivation to work at the intersection of technology and finance
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Fluency in German and English (at least B2/C1), both written and spoken
- Availability of 10–20 hours per week and willingness to gain hands-on experience alongside your studies in our Hamburg office
